The Post

Set in the 1970’s, The Post tells the story of The Washington Post and The New York Times reporters who released the Pentagon Papers, and ultimately exposed the Watergate Scandal. Spanning four U.S. Presidents, the exposure of the cover-up of American involvement during the Vietnam War led to an unprecedented battle between the free press and the U.S. government.

The film boasts two Oscar winning actors and an Oscar winning director. Tom Hanks plays Editor of The Post, Bed Bradlee, with Meryl Streep as Kay Graham, the Post’s first female publisher. They are joined by Sarah Paulson (Carold), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Tracy Letts (The Big Short), Bradley Whitford (Get Out), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek, 2009), Carrie Coon (Fargo, 2017), and Matthew Rhys (The Americans). Director Steven Spielberg put this film together in only 9 months and earned a standing ovation at its first screening.
