The Great Wall

European mercenaries are in search of a dark power when they are pursued by Khitan bandits. Some of the men are killed by the bandits, while other men in the group are killed by an unknown monster. By the end of these events, there are only two men left- William and Tover, with the former having slashed off the monster’s hand. The pair decides to take the arm on the rest of their journey. The following day, the men stumble upon the Great Wall, where they are taken prisoner by Chinese soldiers of a secretive military sect. The men are faced with challenges that force them to discover the mystery behind one of the greatest wonders of the world.

The original idea for this film came from CEO Thomas Tull, who co-created “World War Z.” Hero director Yimou Zhang brings all of this action and adventure to the big screen. Did you know that an international crew was assembled for the production of this movie? Over 100 translators were present to make sure things ran smoothly! The film stars Oscar-winner Matt Damon, playing the role of William, a mercenary warrior. Starring alongside him is Pedro Pascal, known for Narcos and Game of Thrones. Kong: Skull Island actress Tian Jing plays the role of Commander Lin Mae, alongside The Take of Tiger Mountain costars Hanyu Zhang and Kenny Lin as General Shao and Commander Chen. The film also features two-time Oscar nominated actor Willem Dafoe, House of Flying Daggers actor Andy Lau and Rise of the Legend’s actor Eddie Peng.
