American Assassin

CIA agent, Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien), seeks revenge when his fiancée is killed in a terrorist attack. Recruited for black ops counterterrorism by CIA Director, Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan), Rapp is trained by Cold War Veteran, Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). They investigate seemingly random attacks on military and civilian targets. When a pattern appears, they must partner with a Turkish agent (Taylor Kitsch) to stop forces unknown from starting a world war in the Middle East.

Based on Vince Flynn’s novel of the same title, American Assassin is directed by Michael Cuesta. Best known for his independent films,Tell Tale (2009) and Kill the Messenger (2014), and TV Series Homeland, Dexter, Blue Bloods, and Six Feet Under, Cuesta brings together action veteran Michael Keaton as agent Stan Hurley with relative newcomers Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner) and Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) in this prequel to the Mitch Rapp book series.
