11-year-old Félicie is a poor orphan girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina, but lacks the training to live her dreams. With the help of her best friend, an inventor named Victor, Félicie runs away from her orphanage and finds work as a cleaner in Paris. Through a stroke of fate (and some improvisation), she finds her way into the Paris Opera Ballet school where she competes with other students for the role of Clara in The Nutcracker. Will Félicie be able to clinch the role of her dreams?

Called Ballerina! for its initial release in France and the UK, Leap! is an internationally co-operative, 3D animation production directed by Canadian filmmakers Éric Summer and Éric Warin. American actress Elle Fanning (The Beguiled) voices Félicie, with Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars) as Victor. Comedic legend Mel Brooks voices the orphanage supervisor, while Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon shows off her dialect skills by playing three different characters: Régine Le Haut, Mother Superior and Félicie’s mother. Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepson lends her speaking voice to the film as Odette, and her singing voice to the soundtrack that will include original songs “Cut to the Feeling” and “Runaways.”
