Blade Runner 2049

In the year 2049, thirty years after the events of Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K discovers a long buried secret that could cause chaos and bring an end to humanity. This revelation leads him to Rick Deckard, a former human replicant android hunter, known as a “blade runner,” who has been missing since the year 2019.

Harrison Ford reprises his role as Rick Deckard in this sequel to the 1982 film. He is joined by Ryan Gosling, for whom the role of Officer K was written, as well as Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) and Robin Wright (House of Cards, Wonder Woman). For his role as Niander Wallace, Leto wore contacts that did not allow him to see, so he could accurately portray the actions of the blind character. Ridley Scott, director of the 1982 film, serves as 2049’s producer, while Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario) directs the new release.
